Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL, -Graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Business . After college Paul was employed by Phifer Wire Products as a salesman living in Dallas, Texas, calling on window and door manufacturers and dealers. He was promoted to Regional Sales Manager and relocated to Overland Park, Kansas, covering much of the Mid-West.  After several years in the Mid-West, he was promoted to Asst. National Sales Manager for Hardware-Home Center Accounts and relocated to Tuscaloosa, AL. In 1988, Coral Industries hired Paul as their National Sales Manager for their newly launched mirror closet door line. In 1989, Paul partnered with the previous VP of a major shelving line and began a partnership in the manufacturers sales representative business. In 1992, Paul established Southeastern Associates, Inc., where he serves and President.

Paul has been married to Beth Roberts for 30 years. They have four children (William Winston-current SAI Inside Sales & Marketing Manager) William and Allison both live in Tuscaloosa and twins (John Paul & Mary Grace) both live in Denver, CO. Paul and Beth have four grandchildren that all reside in Tuscaloosa. Paul loves his family. They spend a great deal on time together tubing and riding on the Black Warrior River on their pontoon boat. Paul loves anything to do with outdoors including hunting, fishing and biking. He has completed the 29th Annual “Ride The Rookies” in 2015, a six day, 500 mile bicycle ride through the Colorado Rocky Mountains and in 2019 he completed the 46th Annual RAGBRAI, a seven day,  452 mile bicycle ride across the State of Iowa. He has also coached his boys in baseball and football over the years and served the Alabama State Track Association as an official when his daughter Mary Grace competed on the 3 time State Champion ACA Track Team. He has taught Sunday School, served as Stewardship Chairman and established a 64 person Valet Parking Ministry at his church. 

In 1992, Paul established SAI. In that capacity, he helped run and manage the agency with multiple sales people. He also covered AL (Tuscaloosa -South), MS (Jackson-South) and the Florida Panhandle (Tallahassee-West). In 2018, he re-tooled SAI for the future by hiring three young, college graduates to help establish the company for success for many years to come. Derek Christian and Joe Storrs are both traveling a designated territory and were hired because of their reputation and experience in the residential and commercial construction industry. William Winston (Paul’s Son) was hired to manage the corporate offices, leading in the support of our sales team and our factories. Paul currently covers the State of Georgia, where he continues to build strong relationships with our customers and increase sales and market share for all of factories. He has had tremendous success establishing new after paint dealers and commercial accounts for a wide variety of market channels. He loves people, his team at SAI and the opportunity to serve our customers. He is a big believer that teamwork is essential to any successful organization.
